To celebrate the 30th anniversary of its formation, the Company will hold a drinks reception, on Thursday 8th May, overlooking the City.
You are warmly invited to join The Master and other Liverymen and Freemen of the Company on the 24th floor of The Shard, for drinks and canapés. The evening will recognise the endeavours of those who created the original Guild, in 1995, as well as envisioning what lies ahead for your Worshipful Company!
We are grateful to QX Accounting Services for generously sponsoring the event and enabling us to use their marvellous facilities at The Shard. They are part of QX Global, a trusted provider of outsourced tax, VAT, audit, bookkeeping and payroll services.

For any Freeman or Liveryman who has not attended a City of London Briefing, a City Briefing is a must!
The evening provides an interesting and valuable insight into the workings of the City, with presentations given by an Assistant Town Clerk, the Clerk to the Chamberlain’s Court, a member of the Livery Committee and an Alderman. There is opportunity to ask questions of the speakers and the Briefing is followed by a networking reception, providing the chance to mix with other Liverymen and Freemen.

Our annual Civic and Charities’ Luncheon celebrates the Company’s close ties with the City of London and its civic institutions, and with those charities we support on an enduring and impactful basis.
Every twenty years or so we try to hold our annual Civic and Charities Luncheon at Tallow Chandlers’ Hall. And so it will be, in June.
After a full-house at the Budget Banquet earlier this month, we are looking forward to another excellent event in the Summer – drinks in the Courtyard, bathed in sunshine (or the Parlour if inclement), followed by luncheon in the elegant Livery Hall, and an address from Sheriff David Chalk. We shall also be presenting donations to several organisations supported by the Tax Advisers’ Charitable Trust.

Around Midsummer and Michaelmas each year, Liverymen elect the Sheriffs and then the Lord Mayor, as they have done since 1475. This assembly of ‘Common Hall’, at which those for high office in the City are selected, is quite a spectacle.
Taking part in Common Hall is a privilege of being a Liveryman. Freemen, spouses and guests are not eligible to attend Common hall; they are, however, very welcome to join for Lunch afterwards.
Please add the date into your diary and a flyer with more details will follow.

On Friday 4th July you can join the Lord Mayor, fellow members of your own Company, and members of many others, as they head up to the dizzying height of the 47th floor of the Cheesegrater building. A team of abseiling experts will be on hand to show you the ropes, before descending an impressive 215m accompanied by an instructor, raising money for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal, supporting two inspiring charities.
