The Worshipful Company of Tax Advisers

CITY OF LONDON

Founded 1995 & Incorporated by Royal Charter 2009

The Keith Daniels display cabinet was on show at the Chartered Institute of Taxation in Artillery Row. It was given in honour of former institute president Keith Daniels and was first unveiled in June 2011 with a display from a donation by John Jeffrey-Cook showcasing Tax Through the Ages. The display was refreshed in December 2014 by Court Assistant Morag Loader and Liveryman James Dixon with a centenary of the Great War theme.

The display shown in the photograph is entitled War and Peace. The left hand side of the cabinet represents War and shows artefacts from the First World War. The First World War exhibits were the Company's contribution to the centenary of The Great War. The right hand side of the cabinet represents Peace and alludes to peacetime activities such as trade, household affairs, leisure activities and the activities of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

John Jeffrey-Cook donated some of his sizeable tax collection to the Company for display in the cabinet. The donation of memorabilia remains with the Company, though the cabinet is no longer held by the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
