For over 800 years the Lord Mayor Elect has been officially admitted as Lord Mayor of the City of London in a ceremony known as the Silent Ceremony. It is conducted almost entirely in silence. Members of the public are invited to witness the historic ceremony at the medieval Guildhall.
Everyone who is or was engaged in tax practice or tax administration is welcome to apply to join the Company.
